Mini trip report...status update
Hello All!
Just got off the phone with Tom. He and Ben are doing well and finally getting a chance to dry out. They've been at the bike shop (cottage behind shop) for the last few days and are looking forward to heading to Anchorage today. Tomorrow night they will be catching a ferry out of Homer on their way to Kodiak Island for 5 days of fishing. If they can get Internet in Anchorage, Tom will probably post a report.
Still no luck with the SPOT web site. I'll keep working on it, as it will be the only way to communicate with them while on Kodiak.
Cheers!

UPDATE 4:56pm - still no luck with SPOT. I wasn't even able to bring up the administration web site until just a few minutes ago. Would someone please try the NEW link above and report? I just want to make sure it's not me. Thanks.

SPOT Update...
Hello again...
For some reason, none of the SPOT locator links are working tonight. After logging into the SPOT website, I was able to track down their last location. For those of you with Google Earth, you can right-click on the link below to download (select 'save target as') the KML file for the last "OK" location as of 7:20 pm (our time). Double click on the KML file you saved to open in Google Earth.

SPOT Website Down...
All,
I have been tasked with watching the SPOT link for the boys during their trip. Aside from the occational glitch, SPOT has been pretty good. TONIGHT however, SPOT is not working no matter what I do. All the new links I create are non operational. For all of you watching, rest asured that I will try to figure out what's going on.
Cheers!

Tok - USA we missed you
Today we completed the Top of the World highway. This high elevation dirt highway connects Dawson to Tok Alaska. The day started out with rain. We packed up in a mist which always makes us happy. That would make today day 9 of rain. The locals say this is the wettest summer they can recall. The weather report still has blue skies 4-5 days out.
